Congrats... just wondering though, in the first pic it looks like the over axle pipe is welded to the muffler and there are u clamps holding the tailpipes on! Any reason for this?

Err, I mean, I need to get me a set of those. Might as well since I've already got the Hooker 2055s to put on and still need to install a cat since the PO just replaced it with a pipe...
But, nice ride! Sounds great. Maybe 1A should hire you on as a marketing consultant because I'm sold!
Edit: Forgot to ask, what's the part number on those?

macneilbibi,
Just a friendly suggestion . When you post photos to the side like in post 13 it stretches the page like this and makes it harder to see the photos and to reply.
If you stack the photos it wont do this. You can even edit the ones in this thread .By the way your car looks great and that system you just installed just tops it all off.Great work.

I have the same setup- it is 3" pipes with the tips flaring out to 3 1/2".
Need to finish installing it when I get back from this deployment.

This is the same exhaust I have on my car, and it does sound great. Starts to come alive around 3k rpm's. I do kind of wish it was louder sometimes though.

it really does come alive at around 3k.. im pretty happy with how loud it is... but im not running a cat though... so mine might be a bit louder than one with one

Yeah yours is most likely louder than my car, I have the dual-cat setup and both of them are still on the car. I live in California so swapping out cats is a no-no..

This panheaad201,you and me must be confusing each other with someone else.My car is white,I don't care about purple or pink or anything else as long as it goes fast.Go to the gallery or the garage or someplace,I think I managed to download a few pics.panhead201

Can anyone confirm this fits on an 82 Z28? Magnaflow site says 83 up. I'm running a super t-10 4 speed with a spohn cross member and no cat. I want this system but need to know if it will fit.

Re: Magnaflow baby!
This is panhead.I'm running d-port 1 7/8ths pipe to a 3inch collector-ported the heads to the pipes, made my own centerdump shorties,3 bolt flangestraight back to a 3in,3out magnaflow in backwards, put a 45 in it and exit in front of rear wheelsovaled the last 2 ft of pipe for some clearance and cut a hole in the aero whatever on the side.I've been spending days trying to figere a cam profile, don't want to be blowing part of my powerstroke out the exhaust but really dont want any pre-ignition or detonation at this high an rpm.Mercedes has been experimenting with superchargting on their new amg,s and having a hard timemaking the hardwaRE(VALVES,SPRINGS)KEEP UP WITH THEIR SHARP ANGLE cam profile.I'm going solid lifters, only way.As far as will it fit?Get some dimensions and a tape measure.Works everytime.Don't forget your clutch shaft.panhead201

In reference to the Magnaflow 16829 set up, I will check with tech tomorrow since I'm ready to pull the trigger on exhaust but if anyone has used this for an 82 post up. To the op that is a nice exhaust how is it holding up, you liking it?

If you're talking to me(panhead) it'sbeen working out great.I've only used it three times, for a half hour every time, running in different cam combo,s and it's worked so well i forgot about it.It's exactly what I was after..........no hot spots, vibrations,I could'nt ask for better, and it's got nothing to do with going fast, but it sounds great!!!I've had neighbors a 1/4 mile away complain.panhead201
