Re: Magnaflow baby!
Great looking Formula. I too have the 3" Magnaflow catback and cat all behind Dyno Don's headers and y-pipe I installed last summer. My sounds similar.

Re: Magnaflow baby!
Im already tired of my Magnaflow. I want to swap it out for a GMMG setup but the car is an auto so it wont be as fun to listen to as a manual car.

Re: Magnaflow baby!
Thinking of going with a Magnaflow myself. I like the sound of my flowmaster but I like the idea of free flowing exhaust.

Re: Magnaflow baby!
Magnaflow definitely has a characteristic sound and deep tone. I prefer exhausts with a more pure sound though. And hate exhaust that produce a rapping noise under heavy throttle. And loud for the sake of being loud gets a big thumbs down in my book.

Re: Magnaflow baby!
flowmaster just sounded to tinny to me, if that makes sense. there was an old video with a red firebird that had a magnaflow exhaust system on it. that video is what sold me on it. ill see if I can find it.

I like that system, just wish they made the tailpipes where they tucked up under like the stockers , I hate those big *** cheap looking tubes sticking out the back, looks like some ******* ****.

Re: Magnaflow baby!
I went to a custom exhaust place and they said for $50 they could make the tailpipes do whatever I want.. I showed him the stock exhaust and he said he could do that if I wanted, but I went with the stock size tail pipes and had them go with the lines of the car.. He thought it would look better and I agreed but for $50 I can go back and get replica stock tail pipes.. You don’t have to use the Magnaflow tips..

Re: Magnaflow baby!
I didnt use the tailpipes/tips provided with the kit. I ended up buying a pair of 2 1/2" replacement tailpipes and used a pair of B&B Triflo quad tips I had hanging around. Looks 1000 times better than the 1990s Magnaflow tips.
