header wrap

i have a set of the hooker shorty headers and i am going to wrap them but i am unsure of how much header wrap to buy any thoughts of how much i need to get

I've been told to stay away from header wrap because it can overheat your headers and make them crack. Just thought you might wanna know.

I got the kit from summit racing DEI-010110. And it was more then enough, Only used half of it. I wouldn't use it if the car was a daily driver but for a weekend/fair weather car I would recommend it!! It will eliminate your header warranty but works great for me.

Use hair spray and rubber gloves.. and be ready for some time to do it! Takes forever

I found a good way to secure the wrap is with stainless steel
equivalent ty-wraps -- available at Home Depot/Lowes in the electric
department. Even available in several lengths.

I used the new copper wrap, on top of ceramic coating. Here in S. Tx.,
I need to absolutely minimize eng. compartment temp., so I can stay
cool on the I-45 parking lot in Aug./Sep.
