For those wondering. Ive been asked many times to post a vid or sound clip of the exhaust i run on my car so here is 2, one vid is outside the car and one is inside. One good thing about fluxcore on exhaust is if you dont clean the slag off the welds they dont rust. Clearance wasnt much of an issue (about 4.5" at its lowest point) for the 2K miles I drove the car with this exhaust on.

 

hey man do you mind showing the entire exhaust setup showing from header hack to the side exit? I'm wanting to do side exit tips on each side with true dual pipes with a bullet muffler probably loudmouth, just wanted to see the entire set up please sir

 

sorry man, this was 4.5 years ago, the car later got an LS/6speed swap and then sold. No other pics of it (other than after the swap transformation it went through). I can say this though, Dual side exits will not work on a third gen (at least not easily from my experience), when I did this set up with the single side exit, I had originally tried to do dual side exit, even ran the pipes and everything, but the undercarriage would not allow it, wasn't enough ground clearance on the drivers side and I think it's directly due to the chassis being channeled for the factory exhaust to run down the passenger side of the car.. There may be some out there who pulled it off but I did not see it happening efficiently or safely.

 

well thanks anyway, sounds badass! I'm working on finding a good sounding exhaust system for my firebird, I really want duals but I don't think it's likely to happen lol

 

if anyone is interested in these chambered mufflers I have them, found them when I was looking for some parts this past weekend. Paid $200 for the pair years ago, will let them both go for $100 shipped. As soon as my phone charges I will take a couple pictures with measurements.
