Elimination for Headers

I've recently purchased a set of headers for a 92 camaro rs with y pipe. I know they'll fit... My question to you is what I need to eliminate/re-route. Stock exhaust manifold has all sorts of lines/hoses running through them and I haven't had any experience in installing the headers with the motor still in the car. I figured a couple of the lines would need to be plugged. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't wanna hear any corrections insulting my intelligence like a lot of people on here do, just your simple input would go a long way. Thanks!

Re: Elimination for Headers

What brand/model are they? Different headers have different needs. Things you may need to modify depending on the headers are: Smog pump if it doesn't have air injection tubes, the stove pipe going to the stock airbox, may need different spark plugs and 90* plug boots, might have to figure out a new mount for the engine oil dipstick, and you may need to change your oxygen sensor to a heated one depending where its located. Thats all I can think of off the top of my head..

Re: Elimination for Headers

well the guy that sold em to me said they were hookers but theres no stamp or numbers anywhere so im not so sure of that but i only paid 40 bucks for headers and y pipe so i'm not too heartbroken if theyre not hookers. either way, i appreciate the input and if you think of anything else, i'd appreciate a heads up!
