Coil location?

WHen I bought my camaro, the ignition coil was just sitting there. My uncle replaced it witha new one, and left it sitting there. I just want to see a pic of where it mounts and how it mounts. I want to clean up the engine bay as much as I can.

Re: Coil location?

Couldn't have just left it sitting there or it wouldn't have been grounded very well. It mounts to the coil bracket on the intake.

Re: Coil location?

Any picture of where that is on my 305 TBI? As far as I know it's not mounted to anything right now.

Re: Coil location?

THanks, and I just realized that I posted this in the Exhaust section, so if you could move it, that would be great!

Re: Coil location?

Shouldn't a 92 have a coil-in-cap HEI dizzy (stock)? Not an external coil?

Re: Coil location?

I just went out there and looked and I didn't see any holes that a bracket could mount to. I assume there is a bracket that goes onto the coil right?

Re: Coil location?

The coil bracket is mounted by the rear intake manifold bolts.
