has any one tried dougs headers smallblock look same as hooker just cheaper

I just installed some shorty headers on my all stock 89 formula except gears. I went to track to see what i gained. I went from running 10.44 with open manifolds to 10.43 with open headers. Am I not suppose to be seeing greater gains here???
