need advice on removeing bolts

need advice on removeing bolts

So i got the hooker 2460 headers and y pipe and was gonna put em on tomorrow but decided to start today, anyways i need some advice on how to break lose these bolts. I went to un bolt the y pipe from the manifold and cant get em loose, also are they 5/8 inch bolts or 15mm cause my 14 is to small and the 5/8 is a lil loose but i aint got a 15mm

exhaust bolts are always horrible. spray em down a few times with penetrating oil (like PB blaster), let the soak as long as you can. Do not go all out and try to remove them in one shot, you may snap them. take your time, loosen up a few turns, tighten up a turn or two, and repeat. Rotate through the hardware so nothing gets too hot and it will lessen your chances of any "oops"

since your replacing the y and manifolds i would just be cautious of the bolts going into the heads the other 4 i wouldnt worry about breaking since your gonna get rid of them anyways

Bolts should be 9/16" head. Of course, you're replacing them right?

Well i sprayed em a couple times and let it sit a couple hours, the driver side manifold is off but the bolts for the passenger side y-pipe stripped so i gotta find my sawzall lol, i just gotta get the o2 hole drilled for thedriver side manifold tomorrow and hopefully i'll have em on by tomorrow night
