Hedman Long tube headers rubbing lower control arm mount on accelleration.
I have a 1985 trans am, 305 tpi. Hedman long tube headers are a tight fit. When I accellerate from a stop, the engine twists slightly and the header rubs the lower control arm mount on the drivers side. Annoying, and may eventually make a hole. Any idea what I can do? I could dent in a spot on the header, or maybe take some material off the control arm mount... I have 1/4" of clearance???
Thinking maybe motormounts or ???

Grind down the mount. On most cars it has to be done just to get the headers installed.
