im installing an engine in my firebird finally after 8 thousand years(not literally) but i was wondering how the heck do i remove the manifolds? the bolts feel rounded off how do i get around this to fix the problem?

Craftsman makes a socket that is susposed to grab rounded off bolts.

usually there are metal tangs that are bent over the bolt heads. they might be hard to see at first. sometimes 2 tangs for each bolt. thats so they dont unloosen. use a screwdriver or something to bend them out.

The only 'as seen on tv' product that works. My folks got me a set for Christmas about 17 years ago. They've fixed everything from Nissans, Honduhs, Chevys, Saturns, bikes, snowblowers, lawn mowers, etc etc.
It's very rare that I have to get a 'regular' socket from my tool box.
