It is possible to have 3" dual exhaust and have good ground clearance. This is the setup I am currently running. Notched the frame rails and reinforced with steel plates and unboltable brakets for removal if necessary. Its way stronger than that thin factory metal. Just thought I would share it!
more pictures of it
And a few more!

Aren't you using catalytic converters?
well, good ground clearance is relative, i would rip those off leaving my driveway, but still they have better clearance up front than most, so props for that.
No catalytic converters, just some dynomax bullet mufflers that flow straight through.
Could you take a side pic with your car on the ground (to see the side ground clearance) please?
Good idea!

Extremely noisy which i like and sounds good, but it would depend on your setup i guess. I have 10:1 compression and 575" lift camOriginally Posted by peterc005

What is the point of hacking apart your subframe rails and putting a giant notch in them for an exhaust pipe if you're just gonna run the pipe UNDER the ground fx in the back?
Ok so the lowest point of the system (the bottom of the muffler) is 5 inches exactly. Just measured it with a tape measure. It is 5 and a half inches from the ground to the bottom of the pipe where it comes out the side. My car is stock height with stock suspension, the beefy tires may help a little w/ ground clearance but the size is fairly common.

That looks awesome. Thats about the same ground clearence as the stock exhaust. Or atleast my exhaust. Your car's not 25years old yet, doesn't Florida require you have cats?

Thanks man, I like that paintjob you have there. I actually don't know lol, there is no inspections or emissions check over here so as long as i don't get pulled over its all good. Most cops I drive by either think it is cool or just have better things to do then pull me over for noise. This is a street strip car that gets driven like 2-3 times a month to go to car shows and trackOriginally Posted by SKELITOR117

Very nice.
What mufflers are those, that's how I'd like to set-up my exhaust.

I would probably use two of those mufflers on each side, and baybe put a few more bends in the pipes to quiet it down.

I'm not a fan of the side exit exhaust, but you did a great job. Reminds me of a T/A Challenger!
