exhaust insulation [not header wrap]
I know about header wrap but some reason Im having a hard time searching for what I want.
Maybe I need a tip on a search term?
Looking for what I know I have seen before, a big section of yellow insulation with an aluminum cover you can wrap a bullet type muffler with.
Hate to say very similar you see in a hardware store but Im sure much more fire proof. [house insulation will burn]
I run my bullet right off the engine, so it right under the floor.
[got header wrap on section of pipe before it.]
wanna ask for some for xmas

That stuff and ones similar on ebay sort of tip toe around that its not for direct contact with the muffler system.
like it would go on the floor above it, not wrapped tight around the muffler.

Look for downpipe universal insulation, turbo cars use what you're referring to most of the time. Direct contact with the downpipe. Or in your case, the muffler.
