Exhaust bolt size..?
I have an '87 Iroc-Z and I was taking the stock catalytic converter off and y-pipe to replace them with new magnaflow ones.. but I had to cut the bolts off because they were so rusted, and I no longer have the bolts.
Does anyone know what bolt/nut size is for the flange/cat/y-pipe? They seem to all use the same bolts. I've looked around but I can't seem to find the answer. A link to purchase them would be even more helpful! thanks.
EDIT: would these work?

Ditto. I could use this information as well, as I've miss-placed my stock bolts and nobody seems to carry the specific bolts/nuts to install a catalytic converter. I need the two for the cat flange to the intermediate pipe flange. Thanks.

Re: Exhaust bolt size..?
I can answer it for you now. I ended up using 3/8" bolts and nuts although I believe the exact fit size is 7/16"(I think..). I found out it doesn't matter all that much as long as the bolts hold the pipe up and 3/8" bolts were just what I had around at the time. Worked fine.

Re: Exhaust bolt size..?
I've never tossed a nut, bolt, washer or any part from my car since I bought it, yet those two bolts evaded me. Thanks for the quick response. I'm going to the hardware store tomorrow. Probably finish the exhaust in the next couple of days. Laying on the ground with only 8" of room makes installing exhaust by yourself hard. Thanks again

I had to get new bolts because I had to cut my old ones off due to being rusted on like no other.
Anyways, good luck! Supreme Member
