Hanger help. T56 - 3" y-pipe to 4" single exhaust over axle.
Hey guys. I am just about done re-fabricating a new y-pipe with my new T56 crossmember to get more clearance. My question is this. How did you guys hang your y-pipe? I have the rear of the exhaust using the factory hangers but I can't seem to find a simple solution to mounting the rear of the y-pipe. Any information or pics is greatly appreciated.

You know I am kind of wondering the same thing. My setup sags a bit before it goes over the axle and there's room to spare to tuck it up higher... I just have to figure out a way to hang it higher...

Could you use a universal hanger and just attach it to the floorboard under the carpet? I'm sure I will have the same problem when I go to finish my exhaust from my Hooker long tubes and around a Spohn T56 crossmember.

I used a hanger like the one in this picture and welded the curved part to the underside of my seatbelt mount and welded the other end to my Y-pipe, the complete opposite way you should use it but it worked. As for the Spohn crossmember with 2210's a friend of mine has the Spohn scrossmember mounted trq-arm setup with 2210's and there is no room at all for a good flowing exhaust, you might want to use a long tube t56 crossmember like the one from hawks thirdgen and maybe a tunnel mount trq-arm(jegster,bmr track pack). Those parts would give you the best clearence for an exhaust.
