long tube header advice

long tube header advice

Hello i am looking at some super comp long tube headers the Hooker 2210. and i am curious if any ran these on there car? and if i can still run the cat back thats on my car now cause i love the way it sounds. please help me out. thanks!

I have 2210s on two of my cars and they fit very well. You will have to cut your cats and re-position them. I have 2210s into dual 3 into a single 4 over the axle into a spintech muffler 4-3-3. Best sounding exhaust I have ever had and makes over 400 HP at the wheels.

If i got these headers is there a y pipe to fit them to the cat back system i have? because i have 3 single all the way back and i dont wanna mess with the rest of the system.

Long tubes require custom work. No way to make a factory catback work, especially if you want to keep it emissions legal.

Would you be able to email me some pictures of your set up. And I don't have a stock cat back. I don't have a cat on mine either.. and Its not emissions legal. I don't have to have emissions I have a hobbyist plate. my email is xxbrew1690xx@yahoo.com

You wont be able to do that with a 700r4 and a stock crossmember, though.

what's the difference between the 2210 and the 2451 besides the price this is my first time restoring a car! I have an 85 chevy camaro t-top have a 4 bolt main 350 with a 650 4 Barrel Edelbrock carburetor looking to get headers just don't know the difference!

Also what size cam should I get or you'd recommend? Trying to get some good hp! Wanna have some fun on the streets woth friends and wanna be able to keep up!
