Re: Edelbrock Replacement Y-pipe
Would these fit Edelbrock p/n 6872 headers and what about the pieces to connect the pipes to the headers where the donut gasket gets sandwiched in place?

Re: Edelbrock Replacement Y-pipe
These do fit and last for a good long time. The actual headers are really well made and coated, but that Edelbrock y-pipe was a weak spot there.

Re: Edelbrock Replacement Y-pipe
Don,
I have a set of Edelbrock headers and in need of a Y-pipe. Do you need a photo of what I have currently? They are the equipped with the 2 bolt clamp style. Currently have a straight pipe in place of converter. Would be great to get your Y-pipe with a Cat delete option if available.
Shipping to 20732.
thanks,
Rob

Re: Edelbrock Replacement Y-pipe
Kind of amazing that these headers have outlasted those y-pipes for so long. See an early post looking for a replacement dated 20 years ago and it was back ordered even then. I'm on my 3rd (second replacement) pipe and the headers still look and work great. That pipe from Dyno Don is a really good one to get if it's still available.

Re: Edelbrock Replacement Y-pipe
Single-cat y-pipe for Edelbrock headers
This is a replacement Y-pipe for the rusted out, falling apart, poorly designed Edelbrock Y-pipe. It's a replacement part with improved sealing at the header to Y-pipe connection with a better flowing Y merge and made of aluminized mild steel. There will be some flow gain because of the better Y merge design of Dyno Don's Y-pipe. The power gain would be at best a handful or so of HP. You would probably never be able to feel whatever power gain is there driving the car but you would be able to measure the power gain A B testing the two Y-pipes on an engine dyno.
