Re: y-pipe

So what your asking is if there is y pipes out there that are 3"out? If so yes they are everywhere. Or are you just wanting to adapt a 3" muffler to the stock exhaust after the rear end?

Re: y-pipe

currently I have an all stock exhaust system (2.5 in 2.5 out all they way from the heads) so i wanna know, if i can get a 2.5 in 3" out y-pipe... That way i can get a 3 in and 3 out muffler....

Re: y-pipe

you can however you will also have to replace all the exhaust piping to the muffler in the back or if its just the size of muffler you are wanting and are fine with having the exhaust still at 2.5 til the muffler then go to a auto parts store as they have adapters to change sizes from 2.5 to 3. If you are going to spend all the money to put a new y and 3" all the way back you should get cheap headers and /or dual exhaust.

Re: y-pipe

There are several nice y pipes out there including the stock L69/LB-9 pipe. But I believe you have to use the larger GM cast iron manifolds in combination with them. I did. MAC has a good looking one haven't tried it...cheers,

I'm a former header user!....lol

Re: y-pipe

Sorry, the 3" outlet ones above I mentioned go into a 3" highflow cat and then to your choice of 3" system after that..
