I have a NEW pair of Hedman Shortie Headers(part#68606)paid like $400 for them that I got for a 1986 Monte Carlo but now I'm going to go with a 1988 Camaro Iroc,will these shortie headers fit my IROC(even if I have to ding them up a little),I will be installing a SBC 400 engine with no emissions or computer stuff on it or what Hedman Shortie headers will I need?THANKS

Proper hedman designed headers for 82-92 f-bodies:


The collectors look too pointed back to fit. I would return yours or sell them while they are new and get the proper ones. I imagine they'll point right at the firewall so they won't work.

 

Ever stop and THINK about why there's different headers for different cars???

If "they" could make ONE set that would fit EVERYTHING, or even just MORE THAN ONE THING, don't you think "they" would do so?

Buy the right headers. It's not that hard. Sell the ones you have that don't fit your car, to someone who has a car that they WILL fit (or who's not as smart as you and somehow hasn't learned yet what you just learned by reading this).

As far as part #s, the Summit web site and other such, is your friend. Google is another good friend to have.

 

I was just wondering if they would fit NO problem getting the 68470 headers.

 

Anyone used the 82-92 Camaro Hooker shortie headers(part# 2460) or the Headman shortie headers(part#68476) ceramic caoted, if so how hard are they to install and do they fit GOOD?THANKS

 

I would return them and go with Dyno Don's headers and Y-pipe. The best shorties IMO.

 

I cant return them because they have 2 dings in them,who sells Dyno Don's shortie headers for 82-92 Camaros and anyone used the Hedman 68476 or 68470 headers or the Hooker 2460 headers on a 82-92 Camaro and were they hard to install and how do they fit(any pictures)?THANKS
