Catalytic Converter Issues
Guys, I'm confused. I'm doing a 350 swap, and putting in some Hooker 2055's with a 16822 catback. The Y-pipe doesn't have a flange on the end, and it looks like most other T/A's have a cat with a flange on one end and an open hole on the other that slots over the y-pipe. My 1984 H.O. T/A has the rectangular 4 hole flange on either side for the cat. I removed the cat but took the flanges for it and welded a pipe between it to take the place of the cat on the original exhaust. I wanted to use this for the new exhaust, but unless I'm missing something, I can't.
Any ideas?
