Intro and possible new header option.

Hey guys! I thought I would make an introduction post and also let ya'll know about a possible new long tube header option for 6.0 swapped third gens.

I'm from Jackson, Mississippi. I currently have an '88 IROC FRC with a Demon carb'd 355, hooker long tubes, TCI Streetfighter TH-350, 10-bolt with eaton locker and 3.73s, and 3 inch mandrel bent single exhaust with a hooker muffler.

More importantly, I just bought an '89 IROC convertible. I have now gutted it in preparation for an LQ9/T56 swap. I have bought a new K-Frame set up from AJE that includes mounts to swap it over to rack and pinion steering from an 87-93 Mustang.

My shop neighbor owns a hot rod shop and he has offered to build me a custom set of stainless steel long tube headers for the car since the options are so limited.

If anyone is interested I'll post pictures of the build and of the headers. He said he would be happy to make an exhaust jig from my set and offer them for sale down the road.

Re: Intro and possible new header option.

Interested. I am looking for headers and care nothing for going the cheap route. I have the R&P steering with tube K-Member and have clearance issues on the header tube with the steering shaft. Headers were Dougs.. all that is gone..new motor, new build... and looking for new headers that will clear without problems... It looks like Lemons did it right by pulling the second tube back over then down, so I may be buying his custom headers... however, living in Alabama if someone is closer and does a great job, I'm all about it.
