exhaust manifold "heat" sheilds

exhaust manifold "heat" sheilds

so I took off the passenger exhaust manifold and put it back on, but I forgot the metal plate shield thing. how important is that?

Headers don't have them and they're made out of thinner material. I'd imagine you'll be fine

Probably mostly to protect the spark plug wires. If you can keep them from toasting themselves you should be fine.

ok that's what I was thinking, but somehow my brand new fan switch is dead, was wondering if it got heat soaked and killed.
