Y-Pipe Loaction
Y-Pipe Loaction
Whats up Guys,
My Edelbrock headers and y pipe where getting old (all dinged up) so I made a new Y-pipe for the headers. With 2 1/2 inch pipe I sent one down the drivers side and one down passenger side following original stock route and I moved the location of the Y-pipe in back of my transmission sub frame. The exhaust came out good, but I feel I lost some power.
Is it all in my head or does the location of the y-pipe being closer to the headers provide better scavenging?
How important is the positioning of the Y-pipe relative to the headers?
