If you do, How do you run side pipes on an 84 camaro

Hi, I cut my exhaust off of my car and now it is super illegal and may get the sticker removed. Just wondering if you guys put on sidepipes, How did you do it, and if you have any pictures that would be awesome.

A few have done it but sidepipes just really don't work on thirdgens. The lack of ground clearance and everything makes them a pain.

Not unless you do them where you cant see them and the outlet comes out of the ground effects flush. Lots of work. The old corvette style sidepipes dont look right on our cars.

What exactly makes you think you would be legal with a system type that never existed on these cars???? No way to pass a visual like that..........then you still dont have a sticker........

Are you talking about a side exit or sidepipes???? 60's vette type???? If thats what you are talking about and do us all a favor and put a for sale sign in tbe window now.........

Re: If you do, How do you run side pipes on an 84 camaro

You cannot do side exit of any kind of these cars. Most states dont even allow dual dumps before the axle, you are stuck with a single 3 or (3.5 is possible but takes alot of time and custom bent pipe) without back halfing the car. (Denting in floor / seat panels)

Best bet is a single 3in system, Dual 2.5in y pipe. and run it like stock, If you want sound... No cat / 10 Series flowmaster style. (Notice the style flowmaster sucks, but AP or Imco make same muffler that is 1000x better, Single chamber cherry bombs are great also)
