i have an exhaust leak somewhere around my drivers side manifolds...but i cant tell where...tried searching for how to find it but came up with nothing

can any of u give me some tips on finding exactly where my exhaust leak is?

the sound is getting rather annoying

Have you ever done a Seafoam treatment before? If not do one and leave the hood open, provided the wind keeps the tailpipe smoke out of the way, and you will probably see smoke from the leak.

Another thing you can do is look for black carbon traces.

I suggest reading the seafoam thread for any potential cautions when doing the treatment. It should be in the Aftermarket Product subforum.

 

You can also try listening with a stethoscope. Helps if an assistant revs the engine too. I learned that by watching an exhaust shop look for an exhaust leak.

You can also plug the tailpipe with a shop rag, it should make the leak up front more apparent.
