new exhaust not so good?
i had open headers for a while and with me driving it in and out of the garage and down the street, i decided to get an exhaust put on. i chose dumped sweet thunders(the exhaust shop put in a h pipe) which i think sound great BUT i can barely hear the actual sound of the mufflers over the unbelievable drone. honestly it doesnt sound much quieter than just the open headers.
im wondering if..
1-would an x-pipe get rid of the drone?
2-did the shop actually cut the pipes and put the h pipe in or just stuck a piece of pipe in there?
thoughts????

The H pipe will have no effect on drone.........its the mufflers
I assume they are flowcrapper/dronemaster style muffs?
The only way to get rid of the drone is a turbo style or even better an UltraFlow/MagnaFlow/Hooker MaxFlow type straight thru muffler.
I personally HATE the flowmaster sound
