exhaust sound change with intake swap
Hi guys so I recently swapped from a factory alum intake on my 350 and put a edelbrock perf rpm on it. I started it up and drove it around and I noticed it sounded different. is this normal for a exhaust tone change? its a 350 out of a 76 chevy truck with 305 h.o heads I think dish pistons a holley 600 carb and now a performer rpm intake. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sure could! Air/fuel in and out (intake and exhaust) can change the the tone. Ive heard of something as simple as a cold air intake can affect exhaust tone.

Alright thanks for the reply. I was pretty worried because this was my first intake swap and I had no idea if this was a reasonable thing to think. Makes complete sense though
