3" exhaust

Would a 3" exhaust be too big for my stock 305 H.O., or should i just go with 2 and a half inch? Would it be better to go with 3" incase I wanna modify?

A 3" exhaust is just fine for a 305. Especially if you are planning for a more powerful engine.

If you plan future mods, I wouldn't get anything less than 3" because then you are wasting your money for the current setup then later when you need the 3"

For what u have right now the stock (is it 2.75??) is fine. When u start modding and get into the 200HP and more range, switching would be a good idea.
