I swapped a 95 LT1 into my 87 IROC and installed a set of hooker 2210 LT. The ground clearance of the collector on the pass side is lower than the drivers by .75". Is this normal? Or is there an engine mount or exhaust issue here?

Mine were level. Check your engine mounts

This also means that someone could have previously smacked the driver side collector on the ground.

Were these used or brand new?

Check the engine clamshell mounts first. They are side specific.

If they are side specific, can they still bolt up to the incorrect side?

Yep, they can. The engine will sit crooked, and so will your headers.

I have 2210s and they sit even. And with the Hawk's double hump x-member my exhaust is really tucked up nice.

Put a level on the engine, and then on the firewall.

They should be really close.

Re: Hooker 2210 have different ground clearances on Drv/pass?
Does anyone have a good enough eye they can tell if I put the correct mount on the correct side? I found these pics from my swap journey. What your looking at is the drivers side of the engine, the first pic shows the L98 mount installed onto the LT1 and the second pic shows the mount I removed from the drivers side LT1.

Drivers side of LT1 with L98 mount installed. I have no idea if this is the left or right mount from the L98. I thought I didn't change it, but perhaps I did by accident. Can anyone tell me if this is the wrong side mount and therefore causes my motor to sit crooked.

Thanks for the link. When I look at the pics, it sure seems like I have the bigger one on the drivers side, which means it's wrong. Judging again by the pics in the link the difference is in the height of that face that will be point up when installed on the motor. Anyone have a measurement for that gave so I can be sure? I suppose if I get under there and both two are different the drivers side is larger thN the pass, I guess I know anyways.
