Hooker P/N

I have a '91 Camaro RS with the L03 305 in it. I am thinking about getting a hooker cat back. Now, according to the web site, I should use PN# 16820 (cat-back). I have heard that I should get the ones designed for the 305HO/350 becuase of less restriction. Is this true? Or am I getting the comfused with headers? Any input is welcome!
Also, does anyone have a sound clip of this?
Thanks!

I just installed the 16820 2 weeks ago. If you still have the original cat (the 2.5" flange) then that is the part # you want. It is the same system as the one for the 350 cars but it has the 2.5" flange. It is a 3" mandrel bent I pipe. I installed it with no prob whatsoever in about 4 hrs. I could have done it about half that time but I'm a perfectionist so I really double and triple checked everything. the only mod that I can suggest for you is to cut off the hanger from the orig. pass side tailpipe and drill 2 holes to bolt it to the adapter welded to the hooker tailpipe. Get everything lined up on the driver side tailpipe then get the elevation right on the pass side before you drill your holes in the hanger you cut off. It was a very easy install and it looks/sounds great. One other suggestion is to load up the back of you car with about 400lbs of weight and adjust your pipes around your suspension that way. The weight simulates you and a full tank of gas and a pothole. I did it this way and have driven roughly 1500 miles without a single rattle from the pipes. Keep the tips from touching the bumper cover, they will melt the plastic. I left roughly 1/4" on each side and haven't had a prob. Hope this helps. Have fun if you get it.

Glad to hear all the good feed. If I got the one with a 2.5" flange, would I be able to go to a hi flow cat alter, or would it be difficult/expensive (i dont weld ) to get it t work?

Yeah, thats what I got too. When I get my 3" cat, I'm gonna cut off the flange and clamp or weld the cat on.
