Re: Looking to but hooker headers

Just say no to 2460's.

Buy a set of 2055's, they have a y-pipe. You can get them used and they are better than the 2460's.

Or go with edelbrocks.

Basically don't use the 2460's.

I got my 2210 long tubes for $300. I Sold my 2055's and Y-pipe for the same price.

Re: Looking to but hooker headers

I thought the 2460's where just the 2055 with out the air tubes im running a highly modded 355 so i dont need the air tubes and dont want to have to weld up the holes when i remove them

Thicker steel, less flow, no Y-pipe, so you'll have to pay one to be built.

If you are running a car thats actually got some build going on, then you will want to go with something like the Dyno Don headers, 2055's, or 2210LTs.

Truthfully, between the 2055's and 2210LT's I'd go 2210's every day. The room for plug changes with the 2210s is so much better, and they are 1 3/4" vs 1 5/8" primaries.

But the 2210's require moving brake lines, as well as the creation of a Y-pipe. All extra expenses.

You might be happier with DynoDon's shorties for fitment, and it includes a Y-pipe.

Re: Looking to but hooker headers

I cant run the 2210 because im using a t5 trans seen that it will sit up along the slave cylinder and could melt it i just really want headers that will have a y pipe but wont have to spend over 500 bucks for them thats why im really thinking of just going with the headman shorties and y pipe set up plus it will have a lifetime warranty with them

Best bet is a set of used 2055's then. Cap the air tubes off, or cut them off, tap some threads, and JB Weld a screw in there. Or just have someone cut them off entirely and weld the holes over.

If you need both a Y-pipe and headers, its going to cost. Your best bet is a set of used 2055's with the Y-pipe. I sold mine for $300 and they were ceramic coated.
