Borla exhaust
Is your car completely stock?
If so, I personally think getting a Borla system is a waste of money as they don't really growl unless you have a souped up 305 (ie headers, high flow, etc...) or preferably a 350....
I've heard sound clips of 3rd Gen cars with Borla exhuast, but the quality sucked AND it's not the same unless you hear it in person.
I've personally seen an LT1 Z28 (6-spd) with a Borla setup and man did it ROCK!!

At the moment I have just the Borla muffler on a 305 tpi and it is quiet at idle, raps a little under hard accel, and growls on the highway just enough so it doesn't affect the Radio. Works for me,but I am over 50. You younger fellows seem to have the better stereo.
I bought it and sent it back a week later. To fit "all" Third Gens they send a few different pcs to splice together. A couple different people said they were having trouble getting it to fit. And it came with cheap looking tips. Not the inter-cooled tips that come standard on the 4-Gen kits. If we're not good enough for the inter-cooled tips screw'em.
Can you order the intercooled tips seperate? Cuz yeah, without the intercooled tips, the look sucks... that's 1/2 the reason I'd even buy a Borla kit!!
I wonder if you can just order the 4th Gen setup, and mount that onto the car with a little welding here and there...
