Need help finding headers.. will these work?
Long story short, I bought an 84' Camaro Berlinetta with a junkyard 350 sitting on an engine stand. No trans or anything. Got a 700R4 out of a G20 conversion van at the scrap yard and found a driveshaft on ebay. When i got the driveshaft, i ordered some headers from another company because it said "FITS 84' CAMARO" after the title. Well that was a bunch of crap and now i have a set of shiny brand new headers that don't fit. Now im looking at these. It says they fit F body cars. Is that what I have? They look like what i need (no interference with the mounts on the block and they discharge towards the back)

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Id like to get this thing cobbled together but the whole project is on hold until i get an exhaust on those heads.
Thanks.

The collectors turn way back. I think they would hit the bulkhead.
You might want to contact dyno don and get your money's worth.
The 700r4 tail housing needs to be swapped so you have a torque arm mount.

It looks like the tailshaft is correct. It matches all the pictures im finding on ebay and the front of the torque arm stops at the rear of the transmission next to those big bolt boss looking things on it. Is there a mount that i am missing then?

I didn't think the vans had the holes for the mount . I did put a third gen tranny into a g van in the mid 90s and never swapped the tail housing.
If you don't have a torque arm mount you will need one.

No those headers you linked will not work. You need headers to fit 82-92 Camaro and firebirds, nothing else will work. The driver side header collectors faces almost straight down and maybe a hair to the front and the passenger side faces to the rear. You will need a matching y pipe, crossover pipe, to match them.
Dyno dons are probably the best shorties, slp used to make decent ones bit idk if they are available and honestly they don't fit that well.

Re: Need help finding headers.. will these work?
I've decided to go with cast iron manifolds for now. This car is being flipped and i intend to sell it in the spring (though i've grown to love it to some degree and plan on getting one of my own). It just so happens that i have a 305 out of an 89 camaro. Was thinking of using the 02 sensor for a mixture gauge in the car so it doesnt go to waste even though im running a quadrajet.

Thanks for the help though, this thread showed me alot because of the torque arm issue. I had no idea what the hell that chunk of metal was for nor its importance. I found the mounting hardware i need at my local salvage yard, thanks so much guys!
