Why not use a large diameter set Doug's Long Tube Headers? They fit like a glove and will do what you are looking to do.

Re: headers for the drag strip?

I'm also looking for a good set of strip headers, although I only need 1 3/4 primaries for my setup. The 2210s would probably fit the bill and I may go with a set if I can find a deal, but there seems to be a lot of fitment issues/headaches when you research them. I really like the look of the Ed Quay long tube headers. But I've been steered away from those as well. Anyone with knowledge on the Ed Quay LTs please weigh in.
