VW Emission Controls

I have a 2000 VW Cabrio GLS I just brought to Hawaii from California. I'm interested in removing the smog control equipment only necessary to pass CA requirements. Can you confirm the items (smog pump, air pump etc) that can be removed easily without any affect on operations.

Yep , got the third gen part right .

I wonder how hard it would be , software wise , to have it so that brand new posters must fill in the most basic of info , year & model of car , before being allowed to post , and if it ain't an 82 thru 92 Camaro or Firebird the post is rejected ?

Re: VW Emission Controls

Every time I see a non thirdgen f-body or component of the f-body (TPI, TBI, whatever) posted, i have to go look it up and figure out why they might have posted it here, and almost always it has to do with it being the third generation of the model of their car. So I guess people think that thirdgen.org means support for the third generation of every car ever existed.

That should also make it harder for the spammers to post.
