Howdy y'all.
First post here, had my Chevy truck for a while but always wanted a Camaro. Picked one up about a month ago, sat in a field for 22 years. The 305 engine was chunked (assuming that's why it was parked), so I got a good deal from a guy here in town - 100 bucks for the 305 long block from a '90, got everything but flywheel, timing chain cover, and intake manifold. I've been looking at exhaust options, but given the fact that I have to comply with smog laws (I'm in California) and the fact that the factory '82 exhaust manifolds have like 3 sensors on them, is it even possible for me to put headers on the car? If it's not then I'll just put a stock exhaust manifold back on, but is there any differences between the exhaust manifold in an '82 and a '90? Are they interchangable? Ordering all the parts I need soon so I'd like to get the exhaust with it all so I can start fabbing everything up.
