Need More Info on '91-'92 305/auto Z28s

Question:

I have not seen the Z28 in question yet, so I need some help. I am assuming the following about it:

1) It has drum rears
2) It has a 2.73:1 gear ratio
3) It has a 110MPH (120?) speedo
4) It has a 5000RPM redline tach

Can I assume the above? I know there are no G92 305 autos, and always knew that. So therefore is it safe to assume the '91 I want has the above equipment?

An aside; Does anyone here have a period road test of a LB9/auto Z28, T/A or Formula? What kinds of 0-60 and 1/4 mile runs did these things do bone stock? An LB9/auto is unfortunately the ONE road test I don't have...

Yeah you are right in assuming all of that... I am 99% sure that is what it has.

As for performance... stock is mid/low 15ish... at around 88-90MPH. I wish I had a road test to show you, I don't recall ever reading a road test of a 305 TPI auto 90-92 car.

Hehe neither have I...does that equate to a 0-60 of around 7 flat? The closest test I can go by for this car is an '85 215hp 305 TPI IROC/auto with a 3.42 gear, that did it in 6.8 sec.

Oh yeah...did these cars ('91 305/auto Zs) come with the 235/55/16 Eagle GAs too, rather than the 245/50 Gatorbacks??

I guess the 0-60 would be somewhere between 7.0 and 7.5, judging by the 1/4 mile time.
There are two suspension options for the 91/92 Z28s, the stock suspension, and a higher performance option with different spring rates. The base suspended cars have the 235/55s and the speed limiter, while ther other cars have 245/50s and no limiter.

i've got a 91Z 305/A4 car. mine has all the options you listed. its best 1/4 mile run is in my sig, and i think i read somewhere that the 0-60 time was 7.2 on these cars. mine also had the nice suspension package and 245/50ZR16 tires. the suspension package rocks, my b/f's 95 Z cant catch me in the curves, and i've outrun lowered 98 and 99 mustangs in the curves.

Just in case this lady has 245/50s she put on it, what is the RPO for the premium suspension?

Thanks...one more question though. What does FE2 offer over standard, aside from the 245/50 Gatorbacks and stiffer springs? Anything like bigger sway bars?
