N10 OE cat back 1989
N10 OE cat back 1989
I removed the stock cat back in one piece in the process of removing my gas tank. It's the 89 dual cat setup, all original.
The stock cat back doesn't look to restricitive at all. all MANDREL bent pipes. 2.75" intermediate pipe (which is rusted through.)
The tail pipes seem mandrel bent as well, and are in good shape. The muffler is heavy, but is in perfectly good condition. no rust at all, 13 years & 65,000 miles.
I'm almost thinking of getting a new GM intermediate pipe, and reusing the muffler and tail pipes. But I doubt I can seperate the muffler from the intermediate pipe.
I'm not sure it is worth the money for a SLP cat back that is 3".
I can just buy a new GM intermediate pipe that is 2.75" and mandrel bent. or does someone make a direct replacement 2.75" intermediate pipe?
hmmmm - I like the OE dual cat back. Is it really worth the money for after market???
