I have the Catco 9118 cat going to a 16823 HKR exhaust and having a hard time find a flange to mate the two together. Muffler that came off did not have this setup, I thought about a V band but didnt think it would really seal it. Anyone used this and know where I can get the proper clamp+bolts? Part number, name of clamp, something like that. Currently everything is 3 in I believe. ( 2055 to 9118 to 16823)
The outlet flange on that cat, and the inlet on the intermediate pipe should just bolt together like stock.
The circled flanges slips over the I pipe and bolts to the ball flange on the cat using 2 of the 4 bolt holes. The other two holes are for the cat hanger off the transmission.
Thanks for the reply, I did not receive this part and I purchased this kit 2 years ago so I doubt they would send me one. Is it called a circle flange?
Try searching for 3" exhaust flange or ball flange... They're not application specific. Jump on summitracing.com and search for exhaust flanges, you'll find something that'll work. Either a flat plate like what apparently would be in the kit, or a nicer formed steel flange that supports the flare on the pipe. Once you find one that should work, take the part number to the website for whatever local chain store you prefer and try a search. Several manufacturers will usually offer the same style part with the same basic part number under different brand names. You might even find a flange that'll work in the aisle with the chrome exhaust tips and repair sections, etc.
