Cat back/muffler
The fuel pump had to be replaced and I had to get into the exhaust. Only replaced the muffler and tailpipes. Tailpipes matched the originals almost dead on which was nice and the muffler was a dynomax same size as original. For some reason the dynomax is more quiet than the original system. What do you guys recommend to get a nice low rumble not really loud and something that doesnt pop when letting off the throttle. I noticed a pinhole starting at the lowest point of the intermediate pipe..car has been kept inside since new pretty much and never seen rain but its the original 32 year old pipe. The cat is gutted already which is weird how the stock muffler with the cat was a bit louder than a dynomax without. Id like some sound clips of different mufflers or cat back systems.
Id like some thoughts.

Re: Cat back/muffler
It's common for mufflers to get louder with age because the material that does the sound dampening gets more dense.
I think popping and crackling on decel is the engine tune, not the exhaust.

Ive had a Borla on a third gen and it had a deep tone not like the raspy exhaust note of my current flowmaster. I do like the flowmaster but Borla is much better. Price is much more though also.
