Dyno Don headers, gasket question
My Dyno Don headers showed up today but the Earles gaskets are no longer available so mine came with Remflex 2065 (1.5" x 1.5").
The gaskets easily clear the vortec head exhause ports as you can see in the picture but the header opening is slightly larger and the gasket could be ground down approx. 1/16". Question is should I even bother if the stock vortec heads (L31 roller crate engine) aren't obstructed?
What's the best technique to widen the gasket holes a little.
thanks!

Re: Dyno Don headers, gasket question
By the way, not impressed with the craftsmanship of the y-pipe. 2 pieces don't fit together because the enlarged side is not circular(how do I fix that?) There's a deep gauge in one spot that looks like it almost went thru the wall of the pipe. Scratches on the ceramic coating of the headers etc. Didn't expect this after paying $1k for the setup. What do you guys think? I'm not a perfectionist but is it too much to ask for round pipes at this price??

Looks like shipping damage to me.

How long did it take for your set up to arrive from the day you submitted your order? I ordered a single catalytic converter "Y" pipe just over 5 weeks ago and I'm still waiting for it.
