Anyone make aftermarket downpipes?
Anyone make aftermarket downpipes?
This seems silly, but I can't seem to find any. I'm not exactly sure what I need yet and was searching around, however little results left me puzzled. I plan to run dyno don 1 3/4" headers and the gmmg chambered catback. Maybe there's something I'm not understanding
Will be my first installation as when I purchased the car the previous owner had a flowmaster on it that is now rusted to pieces.

Not sure what you're asking for. Our cars don't really have "down pipes".
Generally, headers in our cars have a Y-pipe, then a cat, then a cat-back exhaust which consists of an I-pipe (intermediate) that goes over the axle, a muffler, and 2 tailpipes. Most headers, AFAIK including Don's, come with their own Y-pipes because no 2 are alike or the same as stock manifolds.
If you get his headers you'll need a cat and cat-back to complete the package. The GMMG cat-back should cover that part. You can check with Don to see what cat he sets up his Y-pipe for but I believe it's a 3" slip-fit in the stock length. But check with him to make sure.

Re: Anyone make aftermarket downpipes?
Thanks for the information. From what I understood I needed a downpipe, but couldn't seem to find any. I assume this is because downpipes for our cars don't exist as you said... The y-pipe is our "downpipe"
