Y pipe for hooker headers with subframe connectors

Hey everyone, this has probably been beat to death but search didn't yield any results. My hooker shorties attach to the y pipe 3 bolt flat flange. the y pipe comes cross car outboard behind pass wheel for lack of a better description. problem is my subframe connectors are greatly in the way attaching to the frame rail. do i have any other option here? i could warrant getting a new Y pipe since mines been welded a billion times if i knew one worked.

Re: Y pipe for hooker headers with subframe connectors

Virtually ALL prefab Y-pipes will follow that same route, since it's where the stock exhaust was, and they mimic the factory setup as much as possible to avoid conflicts. Needless to say, the only ones that fit Hooker headers, are from Hooker. If they don't make one, one isn't made.

Might be possible to make something up yourself that would route inboard of the "frame" down there instead of crossing over it the way the stock thing does, though. It would be tough routing it in that tight space without bumping into anything, and keeping the heat from the floorboard and tunnel, but seems like it can probably be done.
