1 5/8 on 97 350 vortec
Hello all.
Been working on a 350 vortec build for a while now (time really limited), and i was wondering if hedman long tube hedders would work on this setup... they're 1 5/8 tubes on 3" collectors.
I honestly wanted 1 3/4 tubes, but the wife surprised me with these....
Didn't want to shoot her down, and left them in the garage for the build.
My question is, will these heads work on a 325-350whp vortec build, or will it compromise it severely?

They will be absolutely fine. At that power level there will be negligible difference between the two. Your power under the curve actually might be higher with the 1 5/8 headers.

Unless your engine is going to be very extreme, the 1 5/8 will probably be the better choice for a street car.
