Re: tune port

Not if you have vortec heads.bolts are angled differently other than that small block is a small block.

Re: tune port

basically unless you have a i think 95- or 96 block out of a car or truck it will be vortec. anything pre 96 won't be if you camaro came equipped with a 350 it will not be vortec. you can check the casting number of the heads and that will be your indication weather or not it's vortec. a vortec bottom end won't matter but the heads will matter. your TPi setup wont work with vortec heads unless you buy the intake base specifically made for the vortec heads. I'm building a vortec 350 right now and i"m not to happy with the price i'm looking at for the intake manifold

'89 is not a Vortec engine.

Vortecs of the Gen I SBC type were only in light trucks from '96-'99. So, if the 350 you get comes from a light truck of that era, it will have "Vortec" heads, casting numbers ending with either 906 or 062.

Any '87-'93 passenger car or '87-'95 light truck 350 will "fit" your tuned port.

The '94-'96 "B-body" full size passenger cars (Caprice, Roadmaster), '92-'96 Vettes, and '93-'97 f-body had the "LT1" or Gen II SBC, which is different from 3rd gen or Vortec SBC engines.
