Anyone got any sound clips? The links in the sticky section do not work. And YouTube is a useless land of advertisement anymore..
Thanks

Get an adblocker, there's a video link here:
https://www.jegs.com/i/Flowmaster/389/17234/10002/-1
It's going to sound like an 80 series Flowmaster on an SBC.

PM me your phone number and I'll shoot you a video when I get home today.
I bought it a year or two ago. There was a lot of lead time (like 5-6 weeks).

I recently swapped my Flowmaster for a Flowtech Afterburner. I will be putting the Flowmaster back on next week. Hard to beat that Flowmaster sound in my opinion. The only muffler I liked better out there is Borla. I don't want to spend $300 on a muffler.

Nah cant agree with you there...If they didn't sound good they wouldn't have sold millions and counting every day. . Ive ran almost every transverse muffler out there on these cars. Borla is best, Flowmaster #2. If you want quiet get a Magnaflow.

14888 borla catback. Sound good better materials about $550 more expensive than flowmaster. Borla makes good stuff for just about every car

Re: Flowmaster American thunder #17233
It's a matter of opinion, I personally think they're obnoxious.
At idle they're loud and sound OK, but that gets old fast. A friend of mine has one on his Camaro with a low compression 350 truck engine in it and with it parked 30' away and me standing next to my car I can't hear my car at idle over his (my car has a big cam, headers and a straight-through Dynamax Ultraflow welded on it). At part throttle, they drone badly in the car and are pretty bad WRT to performance, worse than a stock style muffler or an old school turbo muffler.
But there are people that just want that sound... The friend with the camaro is fine with the car being a high 14/low 15 second car and sounding like he wants it.
