Coat at home?

With a heat insulating, corrosion protecting ceramic coating - no.

With a corrosion protecting, high temp can of spray paint - yes.

I believe Eastwood has a kit for coating small parts at home. But, not big parts like headers.

I've done the high temp stuff myself. It works, just doesn't insulate or have that showie sheen that ceramic coating has.
