Trans Am Quad Tips

Hi all -

Is anyone running quad tips on their third gen?

Looking to get an idea of how it looks, but I can't find much for pics.

Thanks!

Re: Trans Am Quad Tips

Somewhere on here, a long time ago I posted pictures of one of my 3rd gens (it was probably my '83 TA) with the quad tip exhaust from a 4th gen on it. I didn't think it looked great and took it back off, but I figured it wouldn't and wasn't too serious about it.

Look into 4th gen Z28 mail box tips. Best looking tips on a 3rd Gen IMO.

Here are a couple of video links to Firebirds with Borla (quad tip) systems on them.

Not the best pic,.... The Borla cat-back isn't properly positioned / fully installed in this picture.

From somewhere on the internet. This one looks pretty good to me.

I can't find the pictures of my 91 RS's rear with the SLP Dual/Dual to show the exact details. It hangs down a little more than it should.

Given the slightly different positions of the left and right sides coming from the muffler it's a little tricky to get the tips exactly level relevant to each other and same distance from valence.

This one almost looks like a Hooker catback with their tip setup??

It maybe but maybe not.

I have an SLP Dual/Dual on my 91 RS with the Hooker tips. Hopefully next week I can take a couple of pictures of the RS's exhaust when the car is out of the shop.
