thanks for the complaments, by the way they only cost 60 bucks to have put on so i was happy to see the bill. They also gave the car a deeper sound, not much but i noticed it and so did my dad.

That looks great. They look better on the 3rd gens than they do on the 4th. Are yours stainless or something? They look silver in the picture. They look really good that way.

Don't take this as a flame or get all riled up, but why does it seem like everyone wants to turn their third gen into a 4th gen? I honestly dont get it. As an owner of both a 3rd and 4th gen I can not understand why anyone would want to do this. My third gen looks way better in my opinion. Ive seen so many cars lately trying to look like a 4th gen or with 4th gen interiors and body mods, can someone elighten me on this please?

For the same reason you see 1950's vettes with LT1's/LS1's and tons of other C4/C5 vette stuff in them. Better parts. Its not like our cars are anything close to rare, so who cares what people do to them; theres a zillion of them floating around...

I want the rectangular tips for the GTA....if they came on a Mustang instead of a Camaro, that's where I'd get them. Personally, I don't want 4th gen seats in my car, I've yet to sit in a seat that I liked as much as the third gen GTA seats. Many things are merely better designed in the 4th gen cars, such as the interiors. If third gen owners really wanted a 4th gen, they'd go buy one.

It's a matter of preference moreso than a matter of 'wanting to be like 4th gen owners'...many people like the looks of the third gen better than the 4th gen, but like the feel and looks of the 4th gen interior better. To each his own...

Fourth gen seats (Trans am at least) are nearly identical to Ultima GTA seats. I swapped from cloth Ultima GTA to leather 4th gen and couldn't be happier. and if you're a stickler - swap the headrests.

All body mods included.....this screams third gen.

They are not silver tips the are polished stainless steel. I like the tips and how they look on the car . Im not trying to make it look like a 4th gen i just wanted tips that i liked. It doesnt matter what they are from i would have gotten them no matter what car they were on .I think a lot of people put 4th gen stuff in their cars because its fairly easy and the quality is better and some of the stuff is so cheap. Like seats its hard to find leather 3rd gen seats but its not too hard to find 4th gen leather seats, and so on. Im at school right now and when i get home i get a better picture of the tips.

I'm partial to 1982-1984 PMD seats. But I'm going to go with 4th gen leather.

Yep--in this pic these are from a turbo G/A. They were an option back then.

Some people just like to change stuff. Mix and match I guess. IMO those tips look good on Firebirds but not Camaros. And you are right about the looks between the Gens.

I agree, these are my favorite exhaust tips. Could you please post a pic from the side? I've got the same bumper and I'm wondering hot it looks underneath.

Freeze - Just look for a set on ebay , thats where i got mine from. I also saw them in a super chevy magazine at the back section. That probably gonna be your best bet as to finding a set .

Wishmaster's87IROC - thanks , i was really skeptical about getting tips at first but after all the good responses to guess i made the right choice.

What I would do is cruise LS1.com and CamaroZ28.com, and just put up a 'Wanted' ad...there are plenty of 4th gen Camaro owners who routinely replace their stock exhaust.
