Extra bolt hole next to the back of the last header bolt?
So I had a good amount of exhaust coming from the back of my hooker headers on the passenger side, figured it was time for new gaskets so i pulled the old ones out and they were pretty toast. i just go the new ones back in and everything bolted back up and im still getting air from that same spot as before, I noticed there was another bolt hole close to the last header bolt and was wondering what that was for? the air seems to be coming from there but its hard to exactly pinpoint it. I had a shop swap in a 350 from a 91 formula and install hooker 2055 headers on my 85 iroc, they had to do some work to make it it fit, mostly the Y pipe needed to be heated up and the bent the right way to fit because turned out the hookers i bought were only for 85-90 years, so maybe could it be i just have the wrong headers and need to get some that match the 1991 350? any insight is appreciated. I put one of the old header bolts in it so you can see what im talking about in the pictures.

Re: Extra bolt hole next to the back of the last header bolt?
That hole was where the OE exhaust manifolds bolted up.
Doesn't look to me like it's leeeeeeking exhaust; if it was, there would be soot all around there, and not a stinkbug carcass; but if you think there's a leeeeeek there, just put a short bolt with a small head into it.
More important however, is the bolt IN FRONT OF that header tube, right above the spark plug, that also doesn't have a bolt in it. That one would actually accomplish something if present. Might want to consider putting in a bolt there too.
