What do you call the part after the Y pipe?

I just got new headers and a y pipe (from flowtech) for my 1985 camaro z28 (383 stroker). I'm looking to get the rest of the exhaust system but without cats/resonator. What do you call the remaining bit before the muffler and after y pipe?

Or if anyone has any recommendations on what exhaust I should get please drop them below!

The CAT, then intermediate pipe, then muffler, then tail pipes...

"Cat back" might be what you're looking for. That's basically everything behind the Y-pipe AFAIK. If you are deleting the cat, you might need a longer intermediate pipe... I am currently (slowly) replacing my exhaust w/ 2055 headers, a Magnaflow cat converter, and Hooker Aerochamber muffler. I am planning to use the X5500 intermediate pipe. I hope it all comes together (literally) easy. We will see. Right now, I am removing the old stock system.

Ah okay so maybe I do need catback. The exhaust system on the car didn't have cats or resonator etc, but it's rusted and needs replacing. I got the header and y pipe, so maybe I will add a cat as well and then go with a similar setup as you with the intermediate pipe and maybe get a new muffler. Thanks for the help
